The list of devices Unlike the Windows Device Manager which displays the devices in a tree, DeviceRescue displays them in a grouped list with columns, which gives you more information at a glance. Each group corresponds to a device type (or class). By default, when you launch DeviceRescue, all the groups are collapsed unless they have devices marked with a state different from 'Working properly' (i.e. disabled or with errors). This corresponds to the Windows Device Manager's behavior. Click anywhere in a group header to expand it an show the devices belonging to the associated device type. Click again to collapse. Repair Tasks v3.3 Repair Tasks v3.3 This project is a utility that makes repairs to the Windows Task schedule. In particular, it fixes problems where opening the Task Scheduler, or trying to configure Windows Backup, results in the message "The task image is corrupt or has been tampered with" (0x80041321). Searching the web reveals that this message has been seen from time to time, and the (rather laborious) set of steps that can be taken to correct it are fairly well-documented. However, it turns out that reverting to Windows 7 from Windows 10 generates this problem in spades. It can leave more than 40 scheduled tasks in a corrupt state. This is because many task registry keys and the task definitions to which they refer are updated by a Windows 10 upgrade, but only the registry keys are restored on reversion, so Task Scheduler finds that, for these tasks, the task registry keys and task definitions are now inconsistent. The general recommendation in response to this reversion problem seems to be to restore the system from backups. However, I'm never sure about overwriting chunks of my system from backups, and would rather go forwards. So, since the fix is well-known, and the main problem is just repeated execution, I decided to write a utility to automate the set of steps required. And now, I'm sharing my work in case it is of use to fellow sufferers, pending Microsoft getting their act together and fixing reversion. The tactical gameplay in Star Control has been replaced by an adventure game, where the player travels through the universe and encounters all sorts of challenges. This is accomplished by travelling between different solar systems and interacting with the systems and their inhabitants.Travelling is in itself quite challenging. Inside a solar system you can fly between planets and scan them to see if they contain anything interesting, such as minerals or energy readings. The script has a menu that lets you choose what debloat list you want to use. I strongly encourage you to take a look at the lists because the default selection may not suit you. All packages are as well documented as possible in order to provide a better understanding of what you can delete or not. This script should be safe with the default selection. The worse thing which could happen is preventing an essential system process to be loaded during boot causing then an unfortunate bootloop. If you used the non-root solution, after about 5 failed system boots, the phone will automatically reboot in recovery mode and you'll have to perform a FACTORY RESET. So make a backup! If you have a rooted device you can also physically delete the apks. Ironically this solution is safer because the script saves the apks before their removal.
